10-30-06 - This Week in RenWerX

Another week has whizzed by us in RenWerX, and what a week it was. Not only did we have a few new faces come on board but we have also managed to get some things done that we have been tinkering with for a while.

New Faces:
         You will see some new team faces popping up all over the forums.  This week we have brought on a second web designer, pab, from clan EWO who will be helping to manage and add content to the site.

Open Positions:
                  We do have a few open positions for anyone that is interested in the Modeling, Skinning, and Level Design Areas. Also there is currently a vacancy in the Script department for someone that is talented with Torque Script.  All applicants need to have samples of there work ready and contact SkiOne at skione@renwerx.com

This Week in the Forums:  
This week we have a few threads that popped up on our radars as worth Highlighting:

• The first of which is a thread about the GTW Mod for Tribes 2 being hosted on the EWO fight night servers on Friday nights. As many of you know GTW mod is one of 7 Great mods that will be released with Ascension.  The thread can be viewed HERE
• In THIS thread,  raged a battle between the T1, T2, and TV style of skiing. Although we still don't have a clear victor, we appreciate the outpouring of community interest in this matter and will continue to monitor this thread closely.
• The final thread that we will be highlighting this week is a thread on having the community help us categorize things better and write community summaries of dead / decided on threads so that information can be added to the database and we can update plans accordingly.  Nova made a very nice post HERE on what threads still needed summaries.  Feel free to write an unbiased summary of any thread in that list and then post your summary in a new thread with the title tag of “[SUMMARY] Thread Name”, and then wait for someone else in the community to read over your summary and verify that it is an accurate representation of the thread or suggest some changes to make it a more accurate summary.

Sad News:

On a sad note. We have lost two great members of RenWerX this week. Teratos and PyroGuNx  have both quit to pursue other interests.  There is no way we can replace those two and their commitment to the community and the project. They will be missed very much.  If you wish to say goodbye and or thank them for all that they have done for the community you may do so in this thread:
